WHEREVER SALT IS A PROBLEM.....SALT-X IS THE ANSWER!!!! Salt is an element that is difficult, at the very least, to remove. Salt actually bonds to the surface and forms a film! This is the first stage of corrosion! The more times an item is exposed to salt, the worse this film can become! Rinsing with fresh water will dissolve surface salt, but to get rid of the film, HUGE amounts of water and LOTS OF TIME are needed! Something very few people have! The bad thing about rinsing with fresh water is that chemicals are added to drinking water to make it fit for human consumption. These chemicals (mainly chlorine), by their nature can also be corrosive!! Using plain water is almost self defeating! Also, man hours to do a job are always scarce and fresh water can be a problem, especially aboard ship or where facilities to produce fresh water are limited! Additionally, fresh water will wash salt into cracks and crevices where it can accumulate and become even harder to remove!
This photo illustrates damage done in about 1 year from expose to salt water. These parts should both look like the one on the right. You can see how salt has destroyed the clip on the left side. Periodic rinsing with SALT-X would have SIGNIFICANTLY reduced this damage!!
This photo illustrates two reel seats, the one on the right being typical of the effect that salt has on these items. The one on the left was identical to the one on the right before being rinsed with a solution of SALT-X! Again periodic rinsing with SALT-X would have SIGNIFICANTLY reduced this kind of damage!! SALT-X has also been proven effective in areas where ice and snow visit frequently. Snow and Ice areas typically use huge amounts of salt and chemicals on the roadways. These ingredients make their way into the cracks, crevices, and surfaces of your car, truck, air conditioners, heat pumps, outdoor equipment, boating and fishing equipment, tools made of various metals like steel, iron, tin etc., your home, mobile home, travel trailers, and clothing. Salt is everywhere! SALT-X will hunt down the salt and effectively kill the salt! So use SALT-X regularly and rinse the |
